Computers and laptops are configuration-driven products, so the processor generation, memory, storage, keyboard layout and condition grade need to be pinned down in writing before you agree to a lot. Many wholesale lots are refurbished or ex-lease, which can offer good value if the grading and warranty are clear.

Wholesale laptops fall into three groups: new retail stock, new-old-stock from earlier cycles, and refurbished or ex-lease business machines. Business-grade refurbished units are popular with resellers because they are robust and cheap per unit, but their value depends on processor age, battery health and cosmetic condition. Ask how each grade is defined and whether the supplier tests every unit or only samples. A clear grading sheet with photos of each grade is a good sign.
Two machines with the same model name can be very different. Confirm the processor family and generation, memory size and whether it can be upgraded, storage type and capacity, screen size and resolution, and graphics hardware. Check the keyboard layout and language, because a layout that does not match your market is hard to sell and costly to change. Confirm that the operating system is installed with a valid license, since reselling machines with unlicensed software is a legal risk. Refurbished machines may need a refurbisher license and a certificate of data erasure.
Used machines must be wiped properly. Ask for evidence of secure data erasure, and check for firmware or administrator locks left by a previous owner, which can make a machine unusable. Business machines may carry management locks that only the original organization can remove.
Laptops need local approvals for their radio parts and power supplies. In the European Union look for CE marking, RoHS and WEEE obligations, and in the United States FCC authorization. Check the rules for your market. Power adapters and plug types vary by region, so confirm the charger matches your market's sockets and is certified. Battery shipping has special freight rules, because lithium cells are classed as dangerous goods.
Margins on new machines are narrow and move with component generations and new releases, while refurbished stock offers more room at the cost of return risk. Demand rises around back-to-school and business-purchasing periods, so plan inventory ahead of those. Avoid holding large quantities of a configuration that is about to be superseded.
Pack sizes
Stock is usually sold by pallet or by carton of a set count, sometimes as mixed lots where the exact mix is not guaranteed. Ask for a unit-level list with serial numbers, and whether original boxes, chargers and accessories are included.
What to ask a supplier
Inspect a sample from every pallet on arrival and report faults within the return window.
They can be, especially business-grade machines, because the cost per unit is low and demand is steady. The risk is inconsistent grading, so get written grade definitions, test reports and return terms.
Check processor generation, memory, storage, battery health, screen condition, keyboard layout and any firmware or management locks. Ask for serial numbers and proof of data erasure.
Machines sold with software should have a valid license for it. Ask the supplier what license applies and what is legal for reselling in your market.
A layout that does not match your customers' language is difficult to sell and expensive to swap. Confirm it before you order.
WholesalersCatalog currently lists 18 suppliers for this search. Each profile shows a Trust Score, so you can see what has been checked before you get in touch.
The largest groups are in Germany (3), Poland (3), Spain (2) and Czech Republic (2).

Check the company registration and street address, ask for trade references and start with a sample or small order. Be careful with suppliers who only accept untraceable payment methods. The Trust Score on each profile shows which of these signals we could confirm.
